MEP BS EN15967 Battery Maximum Explosion Pressure Test Chamber

Introduction:
The BS EN15967 Battery Maximum Explosion Pressure Test Chamber (5L) is used to determine the maximum explosion pressure of the cell vent gas by filling the same composition of synthetically replicated gas into the explosion chamber and testing.
The Battery Maximum Explosion Pressure Test Chamber is designed in accordance with EN 15967 and UL 9540A, which has a low chamber volume to reduce test cost as well as improve test repeatability.


The Battery Maximum Explosion Pressure Test Chamber consists of:

• The internal volume of the chamber is 5L, made of corrosion-resistant SUS304 stainless steel, and equipped with a pressure relief valve device.
• Maximum withstands pressure up to 3mpa, constant withstand pressure not less than 1.5mpa.
• Dual layers structure design, with a layer of consistent temperature circulating water system for internal temperature control.
• 10kHz Sampling frequency high-frequency dynamic pressure sensor, measuring range of 0 to 2mpa, and equipped with high-frequency dynamic pressure collection system.
• Pre-mix container, volume in 25L, for the synthetically replicated gas pre-mixing and injection to explosion chamber.
• Pre-mix container, with a pressure resistance of not less than 1mpa, equipped with a pressure sensor with a range of -0.1 to 1mpa, with an accuracy better than 0.05%.
• Equips with a pressure relief port device and a special solenoid valve for gas distribution, with a solenoid valve with a pressure resistance of not less than 3mpa and a response speed of not less than 10ms, and a pressure relief valve with a specification of 0.5mpa.
• Equips a constant temperature water bath with a volume of not less than 5L and temperature control of 25±0.2 degrees.
• Ignition system, equipped with 2 ignition needles and an ignition transformer of 13 to 15 kV.
• Temperature measurement system, OMEGA K type insulated thermocouples, diameter in 1.6mm.
• Vacuum pump 1, capacity no less than 1L/s, used for venting air from the chamber.
• Vacuum pump 2, capacity no less than 2L/s, used for venting air from the premix chamber.
• Data acquisition system, collects the data of pressure, temperature, explosion pressure, pressure raising rate, etc.
